Facebook seems to be on a roll introducing new features on a regular basis. It was just yesterday that Facebook has added an awesome new feature called “Subscribe Button” and today there is already news that soon Facebook would add a new feature to let you directly update your Twitter from your Facebook.

link twitter to facebook Soon you could update your Twitter from FacebookIt was discovered by TechCrunch that the documentation of “Subscribe Button” has information about the yet to to be launched new feature. This is what the document has to say about the new feature that lets you update your Twitter from Facebook:

14. Can I update my Twitter followers from Facebook?

Yes, soon you’ll be able to update your Twitter account directly from Facebook. To get started:

1) Go to facebook.com/twitter

2) Link your profile or Page to your Twitter account

Once you link your accounts, your Twitter account will be updated every time you post a public update to Facebook. Note: Only posts whose privacy you set to Public using your inline controls are eligible for this.

Facebook already allows linking pages to Twitter profiles, but doesn’t have the feature for personal profiles. So, this feature would be a great addition to the Facebook features.

Though Facebook wants to introduce this feature we have to see how Twitter will react to this. Linking Twitter to Facebook could increase the content on Twitter, but it could adversely affect Twitter by causing a drop in people logging in to their Twitter accounts.

So, what do you guys think about this new feature and do you think this could be useful?

Strategic move for fb …..but useless upgrade for most as they already use third party apps…we will just switch over if the feature is better developed than the apps already in action :)

Yeah, but an inhouse feature could always be better.
