Samsung, the largest Android mobile phone maker has emerged as the leader in the market in terms of number of smartphone sales by crossing Apple iPhone and Nokia for the first time in its history, according to the reports. As the demand for Android mobile phones is growing rapidly the company has emerged as the winner with the adaption of latest technology. (Samsung Galaxy Series mobiles is a huge hit).
Samsung is estimated to have sold between 18 million and 21 million smartphones globally in the April-June quarter, when compared to 16.7 million by Nokia and 20.3 million iPhones. The report by Neil Mawston, a London-based analyst at Strategy Analytics, a research company based in Boston, said in an emailed response to questions on July 22. The data exclude tablet-computer sales.
