Apple has finally released the USB Thumb Drive of its OS X Lion nearly 1 month after the launch of the Mac OS X Lion. The OS X Lion Thumb Drive offers users with an alternate method to install the OS X Lion on their Macs.
OS X Lion is already available for download at the Mac App Store. But, for people with low bandwidth problems, Apple has launched the Thumb Drive. Thumb Drive is an USB device through which users can install OS X Lion.
Apple informs that, “When you install OS X Lion using the USB thumb drive, you will not be able to reinstall OS X Lion from Lion Recovery. You will need to use the USB thumb drive to reinstall OS X Lion”. This means that Lion Recovery is available only for users who have downloaded OS X Lion through the Mac App Store.
OS X Lion USB Thumb Drive is available for $69 at Apple’s online store. This is an expensive proposition considering that OS X Lion is available for $29 at the Mac App Store. You can order your OS X Lion USB Thumb Drive here.
UPDATE: OS X Lion USB Thumb Drive is priced £55 in UK.
