Any new product from Microsoft generates tremendous user interest and the Windows 8 Consumer Preview has also proved the same thing once again. Microsoft which has released the Consumer Preview of its much awaited Windows 8 on Feb 29, 2012 has posted on Twitter that it has reached the 1 million downloads of its Windows 8 Consumer Preview in one day.
Microsoft Windows 8 is based on Microsoft’s all new design called Metro UI. The Windows 8 Preview has mostly generated positive reviews from consumers and now we can’t really wait any longer to lay our hands on the final build of the Windows 8.
The fact that Microsoft has served a million files ranging from 2.5 GB to 3.3 GB to the consumers in one day is no mean feat either (the 32 bit version of the Windows 8 Consumer Preview is a 2.5 GB file and the 64 bit version is a 3.3 GB file).
