Lack of traffic sometimes causes depression and I have seen many people who left blogging for this simple reason. Bloggers who have started their journey will be too desperate to see big numbers in the traffic stats and every blogger (even you can’t leave me behind) loves to see growth.
In the initial days/stages of building a blog, driving traffic will definitely be a major task which one cannot ignore and it is also a crucial time for blogger to get established before he becomes popular or simply gets busy with his other activities (yeah, it’s true that you do not get more free time as in your early stages of blogging). Acquiring instant traffic to a blog is not as hard as some people may think, by applying some cagey techniques you can gain some good traffic to your blog(s) in very short time.

Social book marking is a useful procedure to get traffic to your blog and is widely practiced way by the bloggers to get instant referrals. Sharing content to social bookmarking sites by becoming a member in networks such as Digg, StumbleUpon, BlogCatalog, Reddit and similar sites and growing your network in bookmarking sites will not only help you in building relationships with fellow bloggers but also encourages you as the people in your network may bookmark and promote your blog posts.

Forums
Participating in forums is another excellent technique to get instant traffic for your blog. It is most advisable for newbies to signup on forums of your niche (in my case forums like DigitalPoint, WebmastersTalk) and start participating in the discussions over there. It might take some time for you to get habituated with forum prescript but initiating a topic of your choice (preferably some hot topic e.g. HP TouchPad for $99 or How To Master SEO) will help you get tons of traffic for quite a long time and also the chances of getting some quality backlinks are also high in these kind of practices. (Did I mention that good amount of back links will help you in getting a good Google Page Rank?)
