Facebook has rolled out today a new layout which is heavily customized and looks very different from the old one. Many users actually didn’t like the update as in the new layout everything looks clumsy and it takes hours for anyone to learn the new changes.

In case you didn’t like the new change in the layout, here is the way on how to get you back to the old Facebook layout.

How To Get Back The Old Facebook Layout?
- Login To Your Facebook Account (Of course you have done that, I know you are anxious).
- In the right hand top corner, click on the arrow and then account settings.
- Click on Edit beside the Language and select English (UK) and save the changes.
Voila, It’s done you will get back your favorite old layout.

UPDATE: This tip worked fine till a couple of hours ago and it doesn’t work anymore. Even our accounts have reverted back to the new layout 
. Maybe, Facebook has got a whiff of this tweak!! Anyways, we will lookout for other alternatives and keep you posted.

Sorry guys!! Facebook has got a scent of the tweak and it doesn’t allow the changes anymore. Why’s Facebook so hell bent on not allowing us to choose the layout even when we are discomfortable with it?
I just tried this anyhow, even though it says it doesn’t work, and so far it actually seems to be working. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that it holds. Will changing to pirate English work too?
Okay, so it didn’t hold. But, if I go directly to facebook.com/(myname) rather than just facebook.com, it’ll show me the old newsfeed/status update layout.
upside down englisg still seems to work to get the old facebook, but pirate english does not

they aren’t even giving me english (india) as an option!! i hate this!! where is the links button? 4 that matter where r my links? now i have to post everything thru the status button? y is my fan page old tho? i really wish i was young and hip enuff 2 know or care abt another site. my friends r on this 1 and this 1 is sh*tting the bed. i liked it when the status was on top and u dint know where everyone is at any given point of there day “mark pritchard took a piss at urth cafe at 3pm”. ugh!

Download Facebook Purity (just google it). You can use it to turn off the ticker and many other features also. I also installed Adblock Plus and it got rid of all the ads on the side of the page.
This fix doesn’t change it back to the last version but it’s pretty close. It’s almost not worth doing though because Zuckerberg revealed the all-new Facebook format at F8 that is going to completely change everything. It’s scheduled to roll out on Sep. 29th.

Yes, PLEASE let me know if you find any other ways to change it back, or some kind of Facebook feedback forum, because I absolutely can’t stand the new layout, it drives me crazy! All of their other changes never bothered me as much, but this one is overkill, and it actually makes me avoid using it. There’s so much crap everywhere on the page, and duplicate content, I don’t even know where to start.

My account has NOT been reverted..? My Facebook became very weird, havin’ some updates like the subsription, but no ticker or whatsoever. I use several browsers, but no extensions, https connection from the Netherlands

There is no way to skip it, it is a rule levied by Facebook.. you just work on building the fans.. to start with better you ask you family or friends to like your page..
