Group Chat platform Hangouts on Google+ which allows up to ten users to chat is all set to have a new feature. Now you can watch live streaming YouTube videos together when you ‘Hangout’. YouTube Live product manager Brandon Badger told GigaOM that Google’s rolling out of this feature of viewing live video streams will make things lot easier than sharing the video links with your friends.
How To Start Streaming Live YouTube Videos in HangOut?
- First, you just need to start the Hangouts session in Google+ and invite your contacts to join you (which you do usually).
- Now open a separate browser tab and start browsing YouTube.com/Live and then select a live stream of your choice.
- Copy the YouTube video ID of the selected live stream.
- Now Switch back to Google+ hangouts, open the video tab and then start a search for the ID.
- Finally, Click play and the YouTube live streaming will start playing.
