Recent data released by Google owned ad-network Double Click shows that Facebook has clocked more than 1 trillion page views for the months of June and July.
Facebook was visited by 870 million unique visitors during the month of June. The average page views per user were 1,149.42.
Facebook had slightly lower unique visitors during July but the page views per user were higher. Facebook was visited by 860 million unique visitors during July and the average page views per user were 1,160. Each visit consisted of 40 page views on average. The average time spent by a visitor was around 25 minutes.
The unique visitor figures are much higher than the number of registered users on Facebook. The reason for this could be unregistered users directed to the site through search engines.
Youtube stands next to Facebook in terms of page views per month. But, it has clocked just 100 billion page views per month which is only 10 p.c of the page views on Facebook. Youtube had 790 million unique visitors during the month of June.

While google+ may be rival of facebook, I feel at the present time anyway, they are appealing to a different demographic base. While facebook attracts the young and their families, Google+ appears to be, at the moment, trying to go after the techier crowd. Our organization was only recently added to Google+, regardless we are rapidly trying to integrate it into our marketing systems. No doubt, it will be player in years, if not months to come!
