Is the Asus Eee Pad Transformer 2 going to arrive in October? Yes, says DIGITIMES. According to the report, Asus has recently signed on Wintek, a Taiwan based firm to supply touch panels for the Eee Pad Transformer 2.
Asus already has a contract with HannStar Display to supply touch panels. During the release of the Eee Pad Transformer Asus could not meet the unexpected demand and Transformer went on to become a runaway hit. Asus doesn’t want similar demand-supply problems with the Eee Pad Transformer 2 and therefore, seems to have readied its supply chain to meet the demand.
The Asus Eee Pad Transformer 2 might be equipped with a NVIDIA quadcore Kal-El Tegra 3 processor and would probably run on the Android Ice Cream Sandwich platform.
Asus has recently launched it’s Eee Pad Slider in South Africa.
