With a whopping $76.4 billion in cash reserves, Apple has now more cash than the US Government which has only $73.7 billion cash balance.
A report by Asymco states that Apple could buy all the major global mobile vendors except Samsung with just it’s cash reserves.
Nokia is valued at $22.6 billion, RIM at $13.8 billion, HTC at $25.4 billion and Motorola Mobility at $4.2 billion. The market values of the mobile divisions of Samsung and LG are estimated $53 billion and $10 billion respectively.
With it’s $76.4 billion cash reserves, Apple could buy the entire lot of Nokia, RIM, HTC, Motorola Mobility, LG(mobile division) and Sony Ericsson.
