Android tops the charts as the most used Smartphone OS in US [Infographic]

Nielsen has conducted a survey in June which concludes that Android is the most used smartphone Operating System and Apple is the top smartphone manufacturer in US.

Android has a total share of 39 pc in the smartphone Operating System market. Android achieves this feat because multiple smartphone vendors like Samsung, HTC, Motorola, LG etc. use Android on their smartphones.

iOS comes second with a market share of 28%. Since, Apple sells only iPhone, the share of iOS effectively transfers to iPhone, making it the largest selling smartphone.

A survey by comScore has also yielded similar results with Android grabbing the top spot.
